HIS101 Interactive Maps
HIS101 Interactive Maps

This project consists of a series of interactive maps that accompanies the History 101: World Civilization 1 course at Post. Each week, the student is provided with a new map, which features clickable flags that provide additional information about ancient civilizations, as well as access to previous maps. Organized geographically, this information alongside a clickable map fulfills the geography component of the course objectives in an exciting new way. The project represents a successful and substantial collaboration between the subject matter expert, instructional designer, and myself (multimedia designer). The project was created mostly in Adobe Muse. Please take a look at a couple of examples:

Visual Literacy Resources & Toolkit Website
Visual Literacy Resources & Toolkit Website

This website was developed as one component for the Capstone project of my master's degree. My project examined the various aspects of visual literacy, and researched specific needs of faculty for the successful integration of visual literacy developmental activities into current and future curriculum. The result of this action research project was the development of a website training and toolkit resource for faculty to reference and contribute to. The website was designed to increase awareness of visual literacy, as well as introduce a variety of methods to infuse visual literacy skills within faculty development and course design to meet the needs of Generation Z learners. Term Release Interactive Story
Term Release Interactive Story

This is an interactive "story" that I created (kind of a combination of infographic and flowchart)  that educates faculty about the term release process, and the importance of following a strict schedule and set of rules to ensure the process runs smoothly each term. I built this using a combination of Adobe Muse, Animate, and Illustrator. Note: site is best experienced with a smooth-scrolling touchpad. Term Release Interactive Story
